About me

I have a need to create; art, functional objects, and now I'm starting to make furniture. I would like to work with models interacting with the furniture that I'm make. I just want to gain as much experience as posable developing my portfolio and helping models with theirs.

I have always had an interest in photography I received my first SLR when I was 12 years old. I started with film and moved to digital. I have been taking photos for 13+ years. I have been working with models and studio lighting for about a year.

In may of 2011 I graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts focusing on Sculpture from NMSU. I will be applying to grad school soon. I’m in a transition period of my life trying to find a new place to call home. This is part of the inspiration for project Anonymity. I would like to work with other individuals in various states of where they feel home is to them.

Favorite place to sit

For this body of work I would like to photograph people interacting with there favorite pice of furniture in there home. I would like to document how they interact with the furniture on a daily basis. I would like to focus on chairs and couches, only because this is for research for my own hand made furniture.

Anonymity

This project consists of photos of nude figures with their face obscured by a personal possessions in there “home.” The possessions are intended to indicate something about the person’s identity and what they feel defines them. I want to explore how people identify themselves in society with personal possessions.

I use the term home loosely because I feel that people can make a home where ever they feel most comfortable.
