About MeARE YOU IN NEED OF HEADSHOTS?? CHECK OUT MY PORT, AND IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU SEE THEN SHOOT ME A MESSAGE FOR RATES!
I am primarily an automotive and wedding photographer. But I am now wanting to explore other areas with my photography. My shooting style is a strobist style that consists of using a mixture of ambient light and off camera flash. I like to catch people in their natural element and capture them in their essence.
I'm looking to dive in to the art of headshot photography. More often than not, I notice too many models receiving subpar headshot photos. Although (some of the time) the exposures and composition look fine (you can't really mess up the composition of a headshot photo!), you still end up with a model that looks like she's out to lunch. A blank stare. Nothing to engage the viewer with.
I believe a headshot should convey something to the camera. In photography you have the triangle of exposure. Aperture, Shutter Speed, and ISO make up the exposure triangle. In headshot photography, there's a fourth. Emotion. Conveying emotion to the viewer will bring an otherwise dull photo to a whole new level. Yes, there's emotion in other types of photography, but it's imperative in headshots. I'd say even more important than nailing the lighting and exposure!
Take a look at my portfolio. There you will find my headshots to be more interesting and pleasing to the eye. Whether you're an actor/actress, model, business man/woman.....a good headshot is imperative to your success in booking more work!! Afterall, your headshot is usually the first thing a hiring agent will look at. So why not make sure your first impression delivers? Investing in a good headshot is the most important thing you can do for your career! If this interests you, then please contact me to set up a shoot!
