I started modeling when I was fifteen. I needed a way to display the clothing I was making and develop my confidence and sense of style while incorporating my love for photography. It took a lot of “getting into the swing of things” before I was printed in a few local magazines and advertisements and asked to be in a couple small fashion shows. I spent my college years majoring in fashion design in Miami before working with Shawna Beck Photography as a model, stylist, and pose coach. Around the same time I was asked to compete in the Open Your Eyes Magazine Cover Girl Competition. After accepting I coined the nickname “Sushii Xhyvette”. It started as a joke. I was quoted saying “I’m on such a roll; you may as well just start calling me sushi!” It didn’t take long for the nickname to stick. (It also helps me get remembered because no one can spell or pronounce my first name, but everyone can spell and pronounce sushi!) I’m happy to say that with the love and support of all my fans, friends, and family I was able to get my Cover! With that under my belt I drudged on to be featured in calendars, advertisements, websites, and soon became a Sweetest Poison Model. My goals are to help raise the acceptance, awareness, and overall market of all alternative models, plus size models, and petite models. I am a huge supporter of local music and the ethical treatment of animals, and often donate my services and efforts towards these causes. I believe I’ve only just begun to make my mark on this earth and I never intend to slow down!
I do not do full nude, but I will do "implied" nudes and topless!!
Thank you to Open Your Eyes Magazine for having me compete and win Cover Girl for your next issue!!!
