My name is Sarah. I'm 26 years old. My first shoot was when I was 18 and I have reached the point of paid assignments only.
Being comfortable in front of the camera depends on the photographer and model.. and how the equipment is handled (Cameras are people too, you know). I'm open-minded and up for almost any kind of shoot as long as we can have fun and work together.
When a comfortable, relaxed relationship is formed I am confident, unstoppable, and often find I'm even surprised by the results.
Although it is important to be comfortable with one another and have fun, I also take the shoots seriously. I make sure I have plenty of prep time and always come prepared. It should work this way for both the model and photographer. I pay close attention to every detail. I care about how I look. I care about both of us being 100% happy with our photos.
My favorite project was learning to tell a story using facial expressions and body language. I feel, hear, speak to, trust, and even make love to the camera ;-) I look into the camera as if I'm opening completely up and welcoming it to look deep into me and pull out every little ounce of beauty it can find.
Photographers I've worked with have sometimes giggled and blushed because they feel I'm looking through the camera straight into their eyes, digging down deep, pulling out any emotion I can find.
Don't be nervous. Don't be shy. The camera isn't.
