"Living simply and using a bicycle to get around New York, 80-year-old photographer Bill Cunningham tirelessly records what people are wearing in the city -- both out on the sidewalk and in the salons of the wealthy."
Hello! My name is Tyler. I recently came back to Texas after shooting in Los Angeles for 2 years. I enjoy shooting under natural light mostly because of the added challenge but also because I feel the images are more dynamic and eye catching. I have a meticulous attention to detail that drives people (mostly me) crazy! For me, good chemistry is a must in order for a project to go well. I am not opposed to having some sit down meetings before hand so we can get to know each other and discuss the idea. I find that going thrifting for clothes or the art direction for the shoot is a great way to get more comfortable and develop the concept further. I prefer to work with someone who has ideas about what they are looking for, from a theme to a framing, anything to make it a collaboration. I like my work to be higher concept with a lot of thought, an original image that tells a story and evokes emotion, something more than merely a shot. I prefer to work with a model who is patient and experienced. I would love to network with any make up artist/stylist or clothing designers if anyone is interested. Will do TFP if we can get a good concept going! I have been wanting to play around with a surrealistic look more and have been trying to capture that sense of wonder and awe. I believe nature is a fundamental part of that and its not something you can capture in a studio in my opinion. For that reason I like to explore outside of the city and often go camping to shoot something I really want to see. I have been working on my medium format and film portfolio recently but I mostly shoot digital for ease of editing.
