Modeling isn't my job, it's my hobby. I don't have a big fancy contract nor does it pay my bills (although I wish it did :p). Many people just see it as a waste of time but I absolutely love it! It's very unlikely that I will "get noticed"or "be famous" and I'm perfectly okay with that. It gives me the determination, confidence, and empowerment to make it through life. It's about believing in yourself and proving to the world what you can accomplish. People see it as being just another pretty face standing in front of a camera but there's so much more to it than that. It's not just going out and taking pictures, it's creating art and inspiring people. You can't just GET amazing images, you have to WANT them. Everything has to be on point from your hair, makeup, wardrobe, posing, facial expressions, having just one thing out of place can throw off the entire shot. You can't see what you're doing so you have to have complete communication and full trust in your photographer. I'm not a "perfect"model. I don't starve myself or spend all day in the gym trying to obtain an unhealthy, unnatural look because I think it's what people are expecting to see (usually I'm starving after a shoot and am cruising through / McDonald's drive thru as soon as it's over >·<). My skin is far from perfect. I have freckles, scarring, and blemishes just like everyone else. Imperfections are what make you unique and perfect. Love YOU, be YOU, and focus on meeting your own expectations rather than everyone else's. I won't ever change myself for a photo shoot, take what I have to offer or I'll move on to better opportunities. I won't be shooting for a bit due to some bad luck but you better believe I'll be back to doing what I love soon. A big thanks to the photographers that I've worked with, couldn't do it without you guys, you rock!! :)
I'm looking forward to connecting with some amazing new talent and coming up with new shoots and ideas. You can also find me on Facebook under Dani Joines.
