Ever since I first bought a camera in 1988, I have been passionate about photography. Although I made my first commercial sale of photographs soon after buying this camera, it took me another 8 years to commit to a photography career. In 1998, whilst working in New Zealand, I applied for a place on the highly regarded Advanced Diploma Photography course. On acceptance, I handed in my notice at work and have not looked back since!

As a student I won several photography competitions, including a national landscape photography competition, and regularly shot landscape images for calendars and other markets. I now take great satisfaction in crafting professional photographs of all types of subject, and enjoy the spectrum of challenges that photography provides, from lighting a food still life photograph, arranging a group portrait or deliberating on the ideal viewpoint for a cityscape. Much of my work involves photographing business people at their workplace, and I shoot corporate portrait photographs for covers and features of several business magazines.
