About me
Thanks for visiting my site and taking the time to look at my work. Photography was a hobby prior to my taking the plunge and making it a business. I am available for sessions anywhere within the Ottawa and Gatineau region. Outlying areas may involve a reasonable travel fee. I also travel to Toronto and Montreal on a regular basis.
It all started following a boudoir session I purchased for my wife. We were not happy with the results and she asked me to try and redo the shoot. To her surprise, and mine, the pictures turned out pretty good. I followed it up by shooting one of her friends as a birthday surprise for her boyfriend. One thing lead to another and here I am.
Although I specialize in boudoir and glamour photography, I also shoot portraits of all type. I will also work select weddings throughout the year. I also have corporate clients for which I photograph events, corporate headshots and real estate sites.
THE DIFFERENCE
There are many great photographers in the Ottawa region, however there are some aspects of the business that I do differently.
1. My pricing is based on digital images provided on DVD as opposed to traditional prints. You will own the digital copies and are free to make as many or as few prints as you wish.
2. All images are provided in Full Resolution as well as Low Resolution (1000px on the long edge) on a DVD. The Full Resolution images are perfect for prints of all sizes whereas the Low-Resolution images are sized to send over email or upload on Facebook.
3. Your session can take place in my home studio, your home or outdoors at no extra cost.
THE SESSION
Regardless of the type of photography session you book with me, I can assure you that my priority is your satisfaction with the session itself and in the end product.
During your Pre-Session Consultation we will cover your goals for your shoot as well as general preparation ideas for the day in question.
Session begin with my adjusting the lighting to compliment your skin tone and the environment. I also take that time to make you comfortable in front of the camera as well as re-confirm your goals. Posing is unnatural for most people, some nervousness is completely normal. My job is to make you comfortable and at ease in front of my lens in order to make sure you have fun and look your best.
You can expect coaching throughout the session to obtain the perfect poses and facial expressions for you. I do not focus on time, we shoot until we are happy with what we have. We will take numerous pauses to review our images and progress.
Post session, your digital proofs will be posted on a password protected webpage for your eyes only. I will assist you in choosing your images for editing and post-processing. Following that you just need to relax, grab a glass a wine and wait for your DVD.
Final images on DVD are normally provided within 7 days of selection.
