"50 Faces in 30 Seconds" Show me.
(Here's a little help for you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfl5ZCUgQYM)
This profile is to showcase my nude, experimental, and otherwise artistic photography work.
(I actually do shoot non-nudes, but I've pretty much given up posting them here since they don't get any love.)
Sorry folks, I don't pay for shoots. Thought I'd get that out there for you right away! See the big green thumb below. :-)
No need to be put off by my "Intoxicate" name here or think I'm pretentious about it. I have two portfolios, I had to pick something! So I googled "interesting words" and finally settled on "Intoxicate". My parents picked the name "Steve" because they liked it. "Steve" works better conversationally.
You're a model, you put forth effort, and deserve to get paid. I'm a photographer, I put forth effort, and deserve to get paid. That means, feel free to reach out to me for collaboration.
The goal of my photography here is creativity. Experimenting with new techniques and approaches to photography. I am looking for muses who are interested enough in what they see to think, "Yeah, something connects. I have faith in this guy. I'd like to work with him". Ideally I would find two or three muses where we are compatico enough that I could reach out and say, "hey, I've got an idea... are you available now?"
Some current examples:
Makeup/Hair/Costumes: The weirder the better. Leaning towards darker.
Emotional Expression/Movement: Face. Think about your face. Is it expressing deep and powerful emotion? Aloof distance? Haughtiness? Dreaminess? Smoky sensuality? Joy? Deer in the headlights? Let's avoid the last one. What about your body? Are you twisting and breaking straight lines? What are your hands doing? What are your feet doing? Are you standing like a pencil? Let's avoid the last one.
Hair ties... take off the hair ties! :-)
Location: As you can see, most of what I do is in studio. I would like to do some location shooting. Parks, beaches, mansions, mansions, mansions, etc.
Technical: I'm always stumbling across various lighting configurations that I would like to try. I would also like to play more with depth of field. Making images unexpected (i.e. interesting) through unusual composition also interests me.
Beds: Beds? Yeah, beds. Beds are my enemy. This annoys me and I want to get past it. It's hard to believe that something so simple could be so difficult. There is some sort of mental block here that I would like to overcome.
For the sort of shoots I'm talking about, we would (ideally) sit down and review the results after the shoot, when we can "ooh", "ahh", "meh", and "ugh" the images, and you could have whichever ones you want. A complete dump of images would work too, but image files these days tend to be large, so why get what you don't want? And we're in this together, why wouldn't you want to talk about the stuff together?
Note: The less inhibited you are, the better. Erotic interests me. But having said that, I have done BDSM before and discovered that it's not my thing. There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with it, the models are wonderful, and I've seen some really cool examples of it. But it's just not my thing. Beauty gets me all misty-eyed. Lash marks make me cringe more than the model. I'm a wuss. Having said THAT, rope bondage IS my thing. I am not skilled at it, but that's because I need someone to practice with constantly and going up to a girl and asking, "Do you mind if I tie you up naked repeatedly?" isn't the best of ice breakers.
Message me and I can point you to some examples.
P.S. Expect weirdness. My ultimate goal is not to sculpt my work to please everybody, but rather to profoundly impact a few. If they can't express why they are so impacted, all the better. I want the impact at an emotional level, not a rational one. I'm looking for models who want to be a part of that journey. I'm also looking for models with a great deal of patience. If you want to work with me, include "Tra la la" in your message so I'll know you actually managed to plow through all this wordiness. :-)
