My name is Sam and I am a full-time software engineer based in Perth, Western Australia.

Photography is my passion and hobby. My future ambition is to produce low-budget music videos with a spice of shock. As a start in pursuing this dream, I registered a small media production business. The aim is to keep everything legal and professional in style, and to have something to push me forward.

WHAT I LIKE TO SHOOT

In the past I have concentrated mainly on doing landscapes, sunsets, architecture, plants & animals and the like. While I still enjoy taking those types of photos, I now also do glamour/portrait photography. My main interests within that genre would be fetish nudes and alternative punk/rock fashion.


WHEN AND WHERE WILL I SHOOT

Because I am working full-time, my hours and availability are somewhat limited. That means I will most probably be available only Saturdays and early Sundays. I enjoy on location shoots the most, as they are much fun, especially places with rocks, sand and water.

P.S: If you would like to do some night shots, best would be during workdays from 6pm to 9pm, as I work at St Georges Trc.

MY THOUGHTS ON PAYMENT

I do not take money from models – period! I believe that photographers should be the ones paying models. A professional photographer (one that makes a living out of shooting) has got many ways of making money. Websites, magazines, exhibitions, studio business, etc, are only a few options.

TFP/TFCD AND RATES

I think the concept of TFP/TFCD is great because it allows great talent to prosper and reflects the artistic side of the whole process rather than the materialistic. After all, I am going this because I enjoy it, not because I want to make money out of it. So, if you would like to work with me on a TFP/TFCD basis, that’s great! However, I do enjoy paying models for their time. If you have exciting ideas or concepts, please do send me an email or message, and we can work something out. For TFP/TFCD I will pay for travel expenses regardless.

BEFORE THE SHOOT

We both have to make sure that enough preparation and communication have taken place between us. I hate misunderstandings and bad feelings. If we are to shoot for the first time together, I will ask to meet up prior to that. Perhaps over a cup of coffee somewhere around the beautiful city of Perth. I believe this is very important before any shoot; it demystifies a whole lot of potential issues.

DURING THE SHOOT

I love feedback. So feel free to make any suggestions along the way; two minds are definitely better than one. And, the most important thing here is to just relax and have fun! I want to enjoy the experience, and get the best out of you, as much as you do!

LIMITATIONS

1)    I do not provide hair work and makeup by default. However, if you would like me to arrange for that, let me know and I will call one of my make-up friends.
2)    Even though I have quite a collection of clothing items, I expect you to provide your own clothing/costumes. I might help you buy a specific item if you convince me it will be a good idea for the shoot.
3)    After the shoot, you will not get a CD/DVD straight away. It will take at least a week and at most 2 weeks. This is because I am very busy, and I like to provide excellent quality work.
4)    You will not get every single image I shoot. Only images that I deem high quality will be provided on CD/DVD.
5)    My copyright will appear on all images.
6)    If it is a TFP/TFCD photoshoot, we will have exact copyright permissions.
7)    TFP/TFCD and payed sessions will each have a different model release form.
8)    Model release forms are mandatory for every single photography session.
