About Me

Hey guys! My name is Dayra (Die-ra). Well I'm not the best writer but I express myself best when I take pictures. A little about me...

I currently work as a photographer at the Florida Aquarium. There is quite a variety of events that my co-workers and I capture moments of. Daily, we take a studio pictures of people in front of a green screen; jump in one of the tanks and get underwater photos and videos of the swimmers and the creatures within; and lastly, candid moments of the guests interacting with some of the penguins. It's an exciting job where my craft can evolve for the better.

Photography started out for me as a hobby with a simple point-and-shoot camera in high school. Since then, I have practiced with a DSLR in photo shoots with all kinds of settings. I hope to one day work for a magazine and open up my own studio. From there, hopefully (if all works out as planned) publish a book with the pictures of my travels and encounters.
