CC, abbreviated from the young designer's full name and given as a nickname by close friends and peers, is a clothing line established in 2004. Cathleen Carey, designer born and raised in Toronto, Ont Canada, started an interest in fashion design at a early age. She began her interest as an artist, attended Etobicoke School of the Arts majored in Visual Arts.
After each year of helping in the school fashion show, Carey decided Fashion was her passion and moved on to post-secondary school to Humber College and studied Fashion Arts. Carey, after two years of co-op placements in the industry, landed a job with another local clothing company Brazen Hussy Inc. since 2007 to present. Carey has a collection of the "CC dress" which is being sold downtown in boutiques and can right now be found at COAL 803 Queen St. West.
