I'm a painter, working in the bay area, oakland, sorta near san francisco.
And i'm extremely picky about who I paint, its not you, its me. But i feel that my work will speak for itself on how I view beauty and women, and whatever melancholy i feel for both of those things. I usually prefer to know the people i paint instead of a "hire, show up, shoot, see ya" situation, but i wouldn't be on Model Mayhem if beautiful friends were as plentiful to artists as the novels make them seem to be.
I may not be able to "get you ahead in the industry" and thats fine with me, but i can say, now at this point, that if i do paint you, it will outlast most any photograph of you taken, perhaps in a museum, a history book, whatever.. and even that, doesn't concern me.. i'm more concerned with the life of a painting, the connection between the artist and the muse, and if it wasn't for working with models, i'd probably just end up painting my cat.
ps. i only friend those i've worked with.. cause, you know, we friends now.
