I have been a fine art and documentary photographer for 20 years, and have published, exhibited and lectured internationally. Recently, I've been focusing on documenting the work of several worthy non-profit organizations at home and abroad.
I've decided to expand my horizons into portraiture, and am currently practicing studio lighting. In the near future I will also do some environmental portraiture, and expect to eventually develop a fine art or documentary project in the realm of portraiture.
My work tends to be straightforward and direct; I prefer to let the subject of a photo speak for him/herself. In portraiture, I like to work collaboratively and understand that my most successful photographs occur when the model and I have a fun, honest, trusting, respectful and communicative session together.
