I am a cinematographer who is influenced by everyday life. Often my attention is drawn to the blending of colors & light that can be seen in everyday occurrences. Simple things catch my eye through-out the day such as watching light that reflects off a train as it passes or noticing the contrast that shadows create as light is cast through the trees on an old man sitting on a park bench. As a cinematographer I am conditioned to pay close attention to the details taking notice to various movement both slow and fast. I look for a picture in everything I see; cars passing, people walking or just the simple shaking of the leaves from a tree as wind blows though. Growing up, I considered myself to be a creative person. At an early age I found interest in creating music, which fueled my curiosity in the arts. This allowed me to exercise my creativity as I learned a lot through trial and error. Being involved in music allowed me to translate my artistic expression, which has evolved into other creative mediums such as documenting life’s experiences, films and photography. Even prior to film school, I have been involved in many productions shooting both photography and film. My work includes documenting some major music and art festivals, participating in the production of independent films and being a part of a production design team. I am an artist and my passion lies in capturing life with film and relaying stories through the lens of a camera.
