Hello. My name is Stephen SeBour. I reside just outside of Philadelphia, PA (originally from Baltimore, MD) and I am the prepress manager at Phoenix Lithographing www.phoenixlitho.com . Phoenix is a high-end commercial printing plant in Philadelphia that has sheetfed, web (heat set and cold set), and digital printing capabilities along with a full bindery. I have been in the printing and graphics industry for over 15 years specializing in retouching, color correction (RGB and CMYK), and graphics for print. I really enjoy what I do. So much so that I do make myself available for freelance retouching and design as long as it doesn't directly compete with Phoenix Lithographing.

When I retouch I use non-destructive methods to maintain skin texture and the natural feel of the original photography. Basically, I want to keep you looking like you. I avoid airbrushing, straight cloning, and I absolutely do not use automatic skin filters unless I'm asked to or if I'm creating a surreal piece. I prefer to work with RAW 16-bit files. This provides me with the most color information so I can create multiple separations and combine them in Photoshop. If your final output will be offset lithography I can provide you with CMYK separations that have been converted with the Idea Alliance G7 profile that most high-end printers use as a color standard.

I'm new to MM. The reason I joined is to develop trusted professional relationships with photographers and models. I usually deal with the final customer after most of the creative is finished. I would love to be involved in the beginning stages. Everyone loves and needs money but it's not the most important thing to me. I have a great job. My goal is to be creative and to develop a unique portfolio with photographers and models that are interested.
