About Me

I'm currently recovering from some really difficult things and making an attempt at a fresh start. As far as a work field, my life is a bit unconventional: I've been to 13 countries and experienced things from having chicken pox in New Zealand, going with a group of missionaries to the Kumeyaay Indians in Mexico, DJing in Latvian clubs, teaching English in Lithuania, living with Daniel Bedingfield in London, and a great deal more. Essentially, I love to travel and experience new things. My life has been more of a non-stop adventure than a college/career routine, and I'm very pleased to keep it that way.
My passions are photography, writing, travel, culture, music, religion/spirituality, philosophy, and psychology; and even though I don't plan to live the average American lifestyle, I'll probably be going back to school once I've settled into this new job. Though I don't care much for 'credentials', I care a great deal to learn more about the things that interest me (everything I've learned so far has been a result of my own research and interest). My photography experience varies as vastly as my cultural experience: I've done fashion/glamour photography (was an intern with Rob Sims), band photography (look up 'Last American Buffalo' on MySpace), club photography (mostly fetish/electro clubs, like Miss Kitty's Parlour in Hollywood), headshot photography, and also stock/advert photography (was in New York last year taking photos of a monastery for the Catholic Church).
My ultimate goal in life is to be a published author in the domain of philosophy and spirituality, and to travel as an international humanitarian photo-journalist with my own publication. I'd also like to do what I did in my first trip to Latvia and Lithuania, which is teach English (when possible), and work with orphans/orphanages, addicts, prisoners, the poor, and the common everywhere I go (that is, I don't just want to take photos and write about these experiences, I also want to help). Whether all these things may happen or not, I have no idea; morbid as it may sound, I always keep in mind that I could end up dead any minute for whatever reason, so I don't rely too much on the future or my own plans--life is now or never, so I take one day at a time and live in the moment.
