IF YOU CAN'T BE BOTHERED TO SHOW UP FOR A SCHEDULED SHOOT, DON'T BOTHER CONTACTING OR RESPONDING TO ME ABOUT A SHOOT. AMATEURS NEED TO STOP WASTING MY TIME.
"I had a great time working with Verglas. It was a good atmosphere, communication, and certain comfort."

"Verglas is comfortable to work with, professional to shoot with, and definitely fun to be around... and of course, impressively the images from the shoots are getting better and better each time we shoot together. I have to say, this is the photographer who can give you the images you are looking for in your portfolio. Keep up the good work, Verglas!"

"Verglas is amazing to work with. He puts so much time and talent into a shoot, you know you’re going to get something amazing out of it. He is easy and comfortable to work with and never tries to make you do more than what you’re comfortable doing. He’s amazing at collaborating ideas and making things happen. I always look forward to shooting with him!"

"I LOVE working with Verglas! He has a creative mind, he is always looking for new shots that are out of the ordinary (and, most importantly, not cliché). He is so easy to be around and fun to collaborate with. He knows what looks best and can help adjust your posing so you always get the best shot. Unlike other photographers that take millions of shots hoping for a good one, he knows what looks best and when to shoot. I have worked with him several times and he has never showed up late. He is extremely respectful of your times and tastes … I have meet a couple photographers that always are trying to get one more piece of clothing off that is NOT Verglas. In all, Verglas is one of my favorite photographers to work with and I know I can expect great stuff every time I shoot with him. I highly recommend him if you are looking to add anything to your portfolio."

About V E R G L A S
I am Verglas, a Seattle-area artistic nude and erotica photographer. I only have one rule: if my models aren't comfortable, then I'm not comfortable. I don't pick up my camera to be creepy or stupid—I've spent years working on my craft to create art. It just happens that my art form is photographing nudes and erotica—not everyone can paint flowers.
I have professional gear, professional lights, professional experience, and a professional attitude. In person, I'm funny (no really!), give good direction, and welcome feedback. Good art is good communication and I only want the best communication with my models.
I've never charged a model in my life and I'm not interested in paying for models either. I trade my skills and professionalism for your time. I'm not interested in wanna-be models who spend weeks with me over email and then give me amazingly absurd excuses for not showing up at the last moment (seriously, how many sick grandmas are there?). I've only ever canceled on a model once and I expect my models to have the same track record.
If you want to make art, if you want to improve your portfolio, or if you just want a professional photographer to make you look and feel sexy in pictures, send me a message. No idea is too weird—though I have been known to say no to ideas that are just plain gross.
My three strobe home studio seamless. 2x Alien Bee 1600s flagged on the backdrop and an Alien Bee 400 in a beauty dish over the middle.
[Note: I *do* have another portfolio on MM. I split this one off to keep my nude and erotica work separate from my personal business life.]
A Good Read For Erotica Models:
Erotica Modeling by Ruby Rosetta
"A model can only be successfully directed by talking her into a mood or attitude. The moment you physically place a limb into position you may as well be photographing a shop dummy."
—South African photographer Sam Haskins [1926—2009]
