I am a Family Portrait and Travel photographer. As the owner and operator of Da Vinci Photo Studios, my goal is to bring a taste of America to your tour in Korea. We rent our studio out for children's birthday parties, so your child's memory of their party in Korea will be as poignant as childhood memories of your favorite party back home.
Da Vinci Photo Studios is a full studio located one mile from the CPX Gate at USAG Humphreys. We are Home Base Business approved and open to serve the Soldiers, contractors and families of USAG Humphreys.
I currently work as a contractor repairing Blackhawk Helicopters for URS. I have been working as a helicopter mechanic since 1998. My goal is to support myself through portrait and travel photography.
As a teen I had an extensive camera collection. We were not well off, so I acquired most of my cameras from yard sales or as gifts. All of the cameras were film, of course, and some if them even worked!
My prize camera was a 35mm Mamiya/Sekor. This camera was fully functioning and gave me the opportunity to attend photography class in high school. I can still remember the smell of the chemicals we used to develop the film.
After graduation I joined the military. A house burned my mother's home to the ground and my camera collection was lost in the fire.
I never had the ability to rebuild my collection and I had to contend with point and shoot cameras until the digital age. Nowadays, pro style cameras are readily accessible and some people even take amazing pictures with their iPhone.
I went to school for the National Guard at Ft. Meade, Maryland and earned the military operational specialty of Photojournalist.
Shooting with the Washington National Guard gave me the opportunity to photograph many interesting events and taught me to shoot in the move. Our commander was well connected as a photojournalist and we had many professional photographers volunteer their time to conduct workshops for our unit.
