Once upon a time, seemingly a long time ago, I was a paid photographer, a newspaper photojournalist. I was paid for every photograph I made, and even won a few awards along the way. But now, I am a fine art photographer. I have a dayjob that pays my bills, so now I do my photography simply because I cannot imagine waking up and facing a day without creating art.
So if you want your portfolio to include images made by a photographer passionate about his art, who looks for the opportunity to create beautiful images of everyone and everything, then maybe we should work together. I will even trade your project ideas for mine.
But if you make first contact to me, saying you like my photographs and would love to work with me, I presume you are interested in trading your time for my photographs. If this is NOT the case (code for "Hi there, I really like your work. So can I have your money, Mr. Photographer?") ... go away, and get there fast!
