I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. I lived in Honolulu, HI for five years while earning my bachelor's degree from the Apparel Product Design and Merchandising program (focus on design) at UH Manoa. After graduating from UH, I worked for a lingerie company in downtown Los Angeles for two years as an assistant designer and assistant merchandiser. I moved back to Hawaii about a year ago and started my brand, 19th & Whimsy. The brand is all about incorporating an element of whimsy (whether it's a print, embellishment, or simply the fabrication) into fun and modern styles. I specialize in women's contemporary sportswear: casual chic styles for everyday as well as styles that can effortlessly go from day to night. I sew everything myself as well as design all printed fabric and screen prints. So far, the collection includes tops and dresses, and I will be adding swimsuits very soon. The collection is currently for sale in two Honolulu boutiques and I recently opened my online Etsy shop.
I'm excited to meet models through Model Mayhem. I'll be needing print and runway models for upcoming photo shoots and fashion shows as well as photographers.
I have not yet had a shoot with models for my current Summer 2012 collection, so you can visit the Etsy site or Facebook page to check it all out.
