Wow! When it all comes together... background, lighting, costume, composition and most importantly the model... it's like "magic"! I'm Doug Day of Top Gun Images and I love creating "magic". I have so many ideas rolling around in my head, I haven't enough time left to create them all. So I take one day at a time. Some weeks I knock out 4-5 projects. Other weeks I do nothing but contemplate on the next shoot and what talent will work best... This is where MM is instrumental... a limitless inventory of beautiful talent.

As a second generation photographer, my inspiration comes from decades in the aviation field; from busting knuckles on R-3350s to serving as a pilot in the USAF.

During the thirties and forties much emphasis was placed on the exploitation of beautiful women contrasted against the ruggedness and girth of WWII fighters and bombers, i.e. nose art and pinups. Today through Top Gun Images I'm reinventing this imaging through my "Top Gun Babes" projects and galleries.

The only thing more heart stopping than the roar of a vintage fighter or bomber, is one with a "Top Gun Babe" on it. With that said, I'm not only in constant search of that one aircraft or aviation theme to take Top Gun Images to new heights, but for that unique beauty that brings grace and sensuality to the photograph.
