Whenever I am about to press the shutter to take a photo, I STOP and ask myself the following question. Is what I am about to capture something that is different in approach to what I have seen before? No matter what the subject of the image is, it is most important to me that the image have artistic integrity. There is a level of realism that I try to portray, and I prefer to 'capture' real/realistic scenes.
