I am an amateur photographer born in Helena, Montana and now residing in Elliston, Virginia. I first became interested in photography in 2005, while making high-quality product photos for online sales. Developing an appreciation for the art of photography and mastering the camera’s buttons, knobs, and twiddly bits helped me create more compelling images.
The knowledge I gained in my studio led me to expand my photographic universe to include a variety of subjects. Through these projects, I realized that better quality light made more interesting photos. That discovery pushed me out of the studio to chase and/or create really nice light.
Continuing on this path of really nice enlightenment, I regularly travel to places most people won’t go to get photos most people won’t get.
In addition to adventure photography and covering freelance events, I shoot weddings, family photos, graduation senior portraits, landscapes, pets, and more.
