Jena Olson + Michael Messner = Vantage Photography
Jena - I've been shooting since 2002 when I picked up my first 'real' camera: I instantly fell in love. I also fell in love with doing portraits and editorial/lifestyle photography: it's like playing dress up with a bunch of really fun creative people and then goofing off in a photo booth with really cool cameras and lights. I really feel like I'm in my element when I'm doing this work. I'm Vantage's primary photographer and the one you'll get to know best.
You can expect nothing but the best from me: I promise to be uber professional, on-time, reliable, responsible, etc. That said, I love to laugh and have fun on my shoots. In general, I'm really relaxed and laid back, considering the comfort of the team I work with (models, MUAs, hairstylists, etc) to be my highest priority. I am committed to high quality work and doing what I need to do to make a shot perfect: it's not uncommon for me to do things like lay flat on the ground in a crowded area, twist my way into weird positions to get the right angle, climb trees, etc. In return, I expect the same from you--to be reliable, responsible, relaxed and committed to high quality work.
Michael - I've been interested in film and digital photography for many years and I've been an avid photographer since 1998. I love to shoot, but my real expertise and passion is in lighting and post-processing of assignments--I'm a gadget guy at heart. I do more "behind the scenes work" to help Vantage Photography run smoothly.

At this time, we are doing very limited TFP work (usually initiated by us) but will definitely entertain ideas we feel would stretch our creativity and benefit our portfolio. We also charge very reasonable rates for sessions.
