After my Baywatch audition fell through at an early age, I took advantage of my outstanding physique and spent countless hours shooting basketball and practicing for the X-Games. I launched bikes, skateboards, and roller-blades off ramps and into the street outside my parents' Delaware home.
Years later and halfway through high school I realized I only had about a 50/50 shot of being the next M.J. or Tony Hawk, so I sucked it up and abandoned those dreams for short careers in paintball, cycling, and running.
With high school behind me, I fled Delaware for the next chapter of my life. I attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where I graduated with a Journalism degree missing Cum Laude honors by just about as much as everybody else in my class.
Having missed my shot at sports fame and/or a long career in academia, I have very happily chosen a life dedicated to documenting the world around me. I started lugging around a camera with me in the fall of 2006 and I intend to keep it with me for the long haul.
*UPDATE* I grew tired of the mountains blocking every sunset - so I moved to Brooklyn, New York in July of 2013.
