Iconic photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson once said,"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst." I take that quote to heart, because I know that what I'm doing now is not necessarily what will ultimately be my best work. But, clearly, I am better now than one year ago when I first began creating images.
The study of photography, for me, has also been a study of its history and of image-makers who have captured historical events. By comparing their work with the works of contemporary photographers, I have learned a great deal. By looking at great images, I have begun to find my voice in photography-a niche to express myself through pictures. At this point in my education, I have found that fashion has piqued my interest most.
