I am a craftsman practiced in the art of film photography. My experience originates from a time when resolution was measured in grains of silver rather than pixels. The knowledge gained from the darkroom has provided me with a unique appreciation for today’s digital tools.

The past decade has been focused on honing my expertise in marketing and promotions through my service with the United States Air Force. In 2009 I combined those skills with my photographic experience to form Steve Ellmore Studios, better known today simply as SEStudiosDC. In 2012 I retired from the service and have dedicated my time to the art of photography.

Whether you’re an experienced model looking to expand your portfolio, or a novice trying to break into the industry, I am here for you. Not only am I very personable and easy to work with, I am a strong believer in mentorship and helping others.

Available for hire to conduct professional shoots, I am also willing to give my time to those who are in need for trade work to help promote themselves as fellow artists.
