Edit: I don't keep up with this profile. I'm only using the basic membership on this site which is extremely restrictive. If you'd like to see the FULL extent of my work please visit me on Yahoo's Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/23859710@N02/) Feel free to browse my stream or for an easier feel click on Sets > Portraits. I can't justify purchasing a membership on this site at this point in order to upload more work.
I prefer to work at a slow, no pressure pace. It's a better atmosphere for everyone. I can work any time of day but the best time for shooting is near dusk and dawn. I'm in it for quality not quantity. Even if I only get one good shot for an hours work... that's all I could ask for. I'm skilled with photoshop; anything is possible.
I don't mind if you want to bring a friend to shoots if you feel the need, it's normal, as long as they avoid being the second seat driver. The shoot is between the model and the photographer. If you're under 18 you will need parental consent and I'd prefer that you have an adult with you at all times.
I'm pretty open about whatever the shoot entails.
A small bit about myself:
I am 28 years old, spent most of my life in Franklin, N.Y. and graduated from Franklin Central School when I was 18. Following that I moved to Florida for five years to persue my degree in aviation and graduated with a Bachelors in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ., Daytona Beach F.L. My goal was to be a chopper pilot for the U.S. Marines but after failing the medical exam for hearing loss, things just didn't pan out like I had hoped. But while attending college I chose a photography course to fill my elective credits out of curiousity. It was a simple 101 course and all I really learned was the basics of photography. I started out with a Canon Rebel Xti and a few kit lenses, nothing fancy. I have since kept at it, becoming better at what i do. Now I have roughly 8 years of experience shooting with digital. I only use high end equipment, I have plenty of off camera lighting, and an ever growing passion for photography.
Nearly everything I know regarding photography is from self-teaching, trial and error methods of learning. I have no formal education in photography and honestly I don't feel the need for it. If anything I feel it would stifle me. I enjoy the challenge of learning on my own. It's part of my creative process.
I currently work a four on four off schedule. That give's me plenty of time off to schedule shoots. I prefer to stay local but I can travel. I make many trips from here to NYC several times a year. If a shoot would be suited in the city we can always plan for that. I also do hikes and camping throughout the Adirondack and Catskill region which make for beautiful shooting locations.
All I have to say for now. I hope I have sparked some interest~ Can't wait to start working with you!
