About me
Hi! I am the designer behind the independent fashion label, Mademoiselle Mermaid. My brand, which is in its third year, features lots of whimsical and tropical-inspired pieces...everything from gorgeous, flowing caftans to Victorian-themed neck warmers and leg warmers. I have an extensive background as a jewelry designer, and I am launching a new collection of beachy baubles in Spring 2013. Other projects due out this spring include an online vintage shop, specializing in 70's caftans, and Mermaid Sightings- an island themed photography and bungalow decor shop.
For the present, I am interested in collaborating with models and photographers on projects that work well with my label's image. I tend to prefer natural settings and natural lighting, along with minimal make-up and re-touching. I adore any theme that hints at the fantastical... Think "Alice in Wonderland", fairy tales, or the "Lady of Shalott".
I love to loan items out for shoots, in exchange for un-watermarked photos. For shoots where I will not be present, I require a deposit of half the retail price of items borrowed. Upon receiving the items back, in their original condition, the deposit is returned. I cover shipping both ways (when shipping is required), and a credit is given to models and photographers wherever the photos are used.
