Elise Hibbard is a Midwest freelance photographer specializing in the noun-
people, place, thing or idea.
She received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and spent much of her 20’s in a frantic search for adventure, the finest green juice recipe, and a champion sidekick to assist her in taking over the world. She’s ridden a camel across the Sahara, swam in a cage surrounded by sharks, and scouted for the perfect hot tub to fill with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Once on a hot and humid Michigan summer night she fell in love with her best friend of fifteen years because he made her laugh; she squints when she laughs, which is sometimes noiseless because she is laughing so hard. They currently reside in Grand Rapids, MI with their shared childhood memories and Shiba Inu named Meeks.
She loves tea, fashion, running marathons, anything vintage, and spending time with her crazy huge family. As the oldest of six, she’s learned more from her four sisters and one brother than she could ever dream of teaching them.
She is fascinated by people and relationships, and how they shape each other and she would love to hear from you.
Well that was fun! Who doesn't love a little third person bio? :)
Long story short, I am currently working full time in Chicago as a location scout (www.levinsonlocations.com) and part time freelance photographer/retoucher. I will be relocating to Grand Rapids in November to launch my business there. I'll be back and forth from Chicago to GR all summer (my boyfriend has a house there) but for now I am really looking to do some networking and learn about the GR photo industry.
I am also looking to meet some great hair stylists and make up artists in GR.
