About me

I came to photography rather late compared to most but it very quickly became a passion, an obsession some may say. I have dabbled in landscape and still life photography but it is portraiture that I find most compelling.

On an artistic level the opportunity to capture that one moment; that one image that gives you momentary glimpse into the heart and soul of the subject inspires me.

On another level, it is extremely rewarding to produce a set of images that make the subject feel good about themselves or the experience.

For those reasons I am always interested in working with new people with a different perspective and I am equally happy to shoot more traditional standard portraits.

I have a small but well equipped studio in the Rosemount area of Aberdeen and also enjoy shooting on location utilising natural light and off camera flash where beneficial.
