George Vardakis was born in Thessaloniki in 1968. He lives and works in Heraklion, Crete.
He is a member of the HPS (Greek Photographic Society), the E.F.E.K. (Hellenic Photographic Society of Crete), the SILLE SANAT SARAYI, the GPU (Global Photographic Union), of FIAP and PSA (PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY OF AMERICA).
Taking part in international photographic competitions has won major awards in numerous medals and several Honorable mentions and diplomas. In 2013 publishes together with Nikiforakis Polychronis, photo album titled {3 days, 2 photographers, 1 event} themed by the MATALA FESTIVAL 2012. In 2016 publishes together with the Helvetian photographer and friend, Charles Weber, the book <National Road>.
Lover of Portrait Photography, all his projects are about portraits of people in different circumstances.
Drive the Change, Dental Portraits, Tattooed Portraits, Feminine beauty are some of his current projects.
