My profile is most likely identical to the other 75% of the bottom echelon of photographers here on MM, I'm just going to state things a little more realistically to the potential models that I shoot. There are pro-photographers on here... but I'm definitely not one of them, no need to sugar coat it. (What I've found, out of the non-pros on here, most of them tend to "pretend" that this is their day job. I'll give you no such belief.) I'm an industrial tech, a moto-junkie, an artist... and nothing more than an amateur photographer who likes working with people of all sorts.
First of all, I'm not going to make the mistake (as many of my fellow photographers do) of telling you that I'm happily married to my high-school sweetheart... because that is a stupid way to start a profile.. for all you actually know, the bitch could be cut into pieces and buried under the crawl space of my house. This is not e-Harmony, so rest assured that I'm probably not here for a date (unless you're Megan Fox... in that case, I'm completely available, and I just made up that being married part.)
I'll also not tell you about my decision a few years ago to live my dream and start shooting full time, because that never happened. Honestly, I can't stand people enough to want to deal with them 5 days a week. My dream was to be an AMA Road-Racer on my GSX-R, and considering the fact that I've crashed it loading it into the trailer on the way to a race... that's probably a good indicator that isn't going to happen. (That really happened once, I'm not proud) I also won't bother to tell you that I use high quality equipment, garnered from all of my years in the "industry". (I've never been in the industry, and have no goals to "go there".) Truth is my equipment is pretty cheap, with the exception of one of my lenses (which probably costs twice what the 2001 Toyota Tercel you'll drive to the shoot is worth.)
I won't invite you back to my home studio, because, to be honest, I live in a shanty in the middle of nowhere. It's centrally located to nothing, and it isn't big enough to swing a cat in (I've tried.) My cat is now very angry, and doesn't take kindly to visitors.
If it sounds as though I'm trying to dissuade you from shooting with me, you're right... I am trying to convince many of you to not bother contacting me. My time is too valuable to deal with "you" people. What I'm hoping though is that some of you will see the lack of bullshit on this page, check out my body of work, and decide that you might indeed want to work with me. Then I'd be more than happy to shoot with you. I have some limited availability, and I never shoot anything but T/F (all of my money goes towards fixing my GSX-R) If I approach you for a project, I may be willing to provide nominal expense compensation.
Don't get me wrong, I truly enjoy photography. I love the satisfaction of a successful photo-shoot. I welcome the experience of meeting new people that share a similar love for the art. There are a few models on here that I'd do a belly-flop into a pit of broken bottles to shoot with...and the main reason for that is because I don't have to go through such measures to line up a shoot with them. Most of us aren't going to make money here... so let's make it painless and fun, and try our best to make some seriously interesting images.
I've worked with everyone in my top friends list at least once, most of them 2 or 3 times... and then there is KarolinaVon, whom I've worked with at least 8 times. If you'd like references, feel free to contact these people. I challenge you to find someone who has had an unpleasant experience working with me (I keep all of those people locked in a shed behind the house... good luck contacting them)
