Hailing from the vibrant city of London and embracing her Asian roots, she has created an exotic, seamless fusion of urban pop, contemporary R&B and world music. Think M.I.A-meets-Rihanna and you’re halfway there! Her effortless combination of infectious beats, magnetism and an instantly recognisable voice unquestionably sets her apart from everyone else and makes Samira one of the most exciting new British Asian singer/songwriters out there.
Adding to her already unique appeal, Samira’s ever-evolving sense of style reflects her hybrid music and is an eclectic blend of Bollywood glamour and urban street chic; picture a modern day Princess Jasmine from metropolitan London!
After leaving sixth form in 2012 to pursue singing, she been steadily perfecting her craft and slowly making a name for herself within the industry; garnering support from the likes of Bhangra artist 'Hunterz' and rapper 'Zide Zed'.
Samira, who has always written all of her own material, recently walked away from her management deal displeased with the lack of artistic and creative control she was being given. "I want to sing what I want, I want to look how I want and I want to act how I want. I don't want to be a product of someone else's imagination. I just want to be me."
Now self-managed, she is currently working on her upcoming album- and when she's not in the studio recording, Samira is busy expanding her career into acting and modelling. Having already had several small acting roles (including being an extra in Harry Potter!), she is currently the reigning Miss Teen Greater London and is headed to Blackpool this September to compete for the Miss Teen Great Britain 2013 crown.
With her go-getter attitude and undeniable talent, Samira is set to take over airwaves everywhere and catapult to the very top!
