Bio: Hi, My name is Aaron McGuire. I am from Littlefork, Minnesota, a very tiny town with a population of 640.
I started lifting weights when I was 12 years old. I used to sneak into the weight room at our school at Littlefork-Big Falls by telling them I was 14. All I wanted to do was be like the varsity football players. At the time I had a little lean muscle from sports and farm work but was pretty much a rail.
I can remember my first real lift. I did skull crushers with the senior Capitan of the football team. He forced me to go until failure, and when I finished, he smiled and said, "Hell yeah, Little guy!" The atmosphere and acknowledgement of people around me immediately got me hooked. I slowly began to grow, week by week, surpassing the abilities of the older students and football players. I was either in class, in the weight room, eating, or trying to learn more about lifting.
I used to lift with a group that was in the weight room before school at 5 A.M. It was just me and 3 other guys. Because I was only 14 at the time, I didn't have a license, but I was determined to get there. So being 3 miles out of town, I would go start my snowmobile up in -30 below weather, and ride to the weight room in full snow-gear with my workout clothes underneath. I began actually bodybuilding my sophomore year of college, After a guy walked up to me in the weight room and asked me if I competed in bodybuilding competitions. I said "no never thought about it." He then recommended me to the owner of Anytime Fitness and Rapid Fuel, who had done several competitions in the past. As a result, I will be competing in my first natural bodybuilding competition in the spring here in Minnesota.
I currently am studying nutrition and am working on getting my personal training certificate. I can’t wait to get my feet off the ground in this business, and my life will always be dedicated to health and fitnes
