About Me

[Bio:] Hi, I'm Victoria and I'm 19 years old. I'm a model/MUA/Hair-stylist based out of the Sacramento area with a background in Cosmetology. I can do hair, makeup, [Including special effects makeup] nails, color, you name it. I've always been really passionate about all things beauty and I love that I can still do this on the side when I'm not shooting and still be involved. I have a huge passion for this industry and I love it so much! I'm really open minded, easy to work with, and am open to different ideas.

When it comes to working with me as a MUA, there's a few things that you should know.

[Photographers:] Please link me to some kind of photo of the model I am going to be working on before the shoot. I like to know what the models I'm going to be working on look like before the shoot so I can brainstorm different ideas for the concept we're going for that work for their face. It helps me work quicker and more efficiently.
Also, giving me a theme, inspiration, or color scheme we are going to be doing is super helpful as well.

[Models:]
1) Please come groomed! Nothing holds up a shoot more than when I have to tweeze a model's eyebrows and other facial hair. This isn't me being mean, because I personally don't mind doing eyebrows.. but coming with them pre-tweezed will aid in the prep going faster.
2) If at all possible, please bring your own liquid foundation. I have a few bottles of foundation, and I can more than likely cocktail a shade that matches your skin tone, but the foundation I have for models isn't the greatest and I prefer to save the time and hassle by having models come with a pre matched foundation.
3) Bring any extras desired for your look. False eyelashes, [please in good condition, I don't like using gross eyelashes that are caked with adhesive and makeup and falling apart] gems, feathers, whatever you want to add to the look that I don't have.
4) If at all possible, please arrive with no makeup on, and clean hair. [If I'm doing your hair as well] I understand sometimes there are things that need to be done before the shoot and you don't want to run errands with no makeup on. I'm totally okay with that! Just please keep it to a minimum if you can because it will cut down on the time needed to wash it off and do the look we have planned for your shoot.

[Availability:] I get my work schedule on a weekly basis, so if it's a shoot on less than two weeks notice, we would need to schedule it around my work schedule for that week.
If I have more than two weeks advanced notice, I can request time off from work so I can be available for your shoot.

[Rates:] I mostly do paid work as far as makeup and hair goes unless I come across a good project or opportunity. Given my current financial situation, I just can't afford to lose money paying for fuel, supplies, etc. doing makeup for shoots. I'll suck it up and find the money somewhere for the right project, so don't be afraid to ask. My rates primarily cover the cost of fuel, and the money I would be making if I was working. [Which isn't much, I work a minimum wage job.] It also depends on how extensive what we're doing is, if I'm doing multiple looks on the model, etc. It all varies and I have no set rate so my rates will have to be something we negotiate and figure out together. I understand financial limitations all too well and will work with your budget as much as I can! I try to keep my rates as cheap as possible without hurting myself too much financially.
For my modeling , I mostly do TF, but I do paid work for modeling as well.
If you'd like to check out my modeling page, I have a model mayhem page for that, http://www.modelmayhem.com/2805655.
I also have a model/muah page on facebook as well that has a bit more on it. www.facebook.com/VictoriaJean916
