My name is Grace Krishnan. I am a makeup and special effects artist and hairstylist. I am based in Upper Hutt, in Wellington, New Zealand.
I have been a makeup artist and hairstylist for over a year and I achieved my qualification in special effects (which included more advanced hairstyling) in June 2013. In this time I have done makeup for an underwater shoot, (I also assisted the photographer by going into the pool with him and pointing his lights for him). I designed and created five different looks for a small fundraiser fashion show, showcasing Louise Stichbury's Stitchbury Designer Clothing. I worked with Kaveh Kardan on a few shoots before he left and as a result I have become much more experienced in makeup for black and white, and have developed ways of making my makeup look good for both colour and B/W.
Recently I have been getting into modelling and have been doing the makeup and hair for myself as well.
I am very keen to continue down these lines of work and try new more challenging things.
