About me
Christie is an actress and writer. She's funny, sexy, athletic and secretly quite intelligent. She grew up in the Laurentians where she was an athlete, from the Provincial triathlon team, to the Laurentian AAA soccer team for many years. When she wasn't busy with sports and academics, Christie spent her time writing, filming and acting in her home-made comedy sketches using her parents' 1991 CCD-V101 Handycam Hi8 camcorder. To this day, her sister still believes Christie's best work was a comedic cover she made with the family dog, during an hour long special of the Wine and Cheese show.

Christie went on to study acting, in Humber's Acting for Film and Television ogram. Her improvisation teacher, Allan Guttman (who's own students in Improvisation included Mike Myers, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, and the Kids in the Hall comedy troupe), planted a seed in her head that she should to go to The Second City and a good idea it was..

In 2010, Christie's sense of humor earned her a certificate for completing the intensive improvisation training program at The Second City, Toronto and she performed on The Second City main stage. One month later, she was cast in the hit TV comedy 'Blue Mountain State' on SpikeTV.; followed by the role of Sunny, late girlfriend to Howard Hughes, on 'The Will' (Discovery/Mystery Ch). She has modeled in publicity posters for season II of the North American TVseries 'Being Human' and co-starred in episode 12; Partial Eclipse of the Heart. Christie was then cast in the short film entitled 'The Race for Life'; It had its world premiere at the Short Film Corner of the Cannes Film Festival in May 2012, and subsequently at the 2012 ACTRA Short Film Festival. Christie has recently played the role of Shannon Price, wife to late actor Gary Coleman in a reenactment of his life, on the TV series, Inheriting Trouble on Investigation Discovery. Her experience in the art of improvisation and comedic timing add a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to all the productions she takes part in.

Christie has plans to write a trilogy, for which, she is currently doing independent studies of The Philosophy and Science of Human Nature, Art History and English Literature. In her commitment to ongoing acting training, she continues to train at the Tom Todoroff Studio and will be moving on to NYC in the fall of 2013.
