**IMPORTANT NOTE:
NEPAL EARTHQUAKE RELIEF 2016-17---
I just launched a fundraiser  for my friend Govinda and his family who are in Nepal, trying to rebuild their house and establish it as an education training center to teach people how to build their own sustainable homes. One year has passed since the massive 7.8 earthquake that hit Nepal…and the general feeling is one of frustration; the rampant corruption of the Nepali govt is ridiculous and a pain in the ass, preventing anything from being done. Relief funds that countries and international organizations pledged for reconstruction in June of last year remains unspent because of political squabbling.  THIS IS ONE YEAR LATER.

Foreign funds don’t come to the people, so I’m trying to facilitate direct donations!

I spent April 2016 in Nepal helping friends in their villages and assessing damage and helping to design resilient earth homes…but it’s difficult because the scale of need is utterly overwhelming. There are huge swaths of areas here in Kathmandu where entire families still live in tents and tiny makeshift shacks (grandparents, mom, dad, multiple children). Many people in rural villages still need shelter from the upcoming monsoon season AND winter, and then to build safe houses for longer term. Food, water, and fuel are in short supply and accessing remote Himalayan villages is difficult because it takes days by foot to reach them.

Govinda and his family live in Lekhnath, which is in north-central Nepal. They are trying to build resilient and sustainable houses/eco farm that will serve as an education and training center committed to sustainability and organic farming. The aim is to host local people / farmers from all over Nepal, who can learn the knowledge and skills needed to build their own home, instead of investing time and money into building something that offers no real resilience towards disasters in the long term, and that is not sustainably built. Govinda’s home will also provide a model for how people can stay and work in the region where they are raised to provide for their family, rather than moving, for example, to another country to earn an income, which is a common practice for young men in Nepal. The focus here is community empowerment through education and skill building and he will also establish a contract with local schools to host multiple-day class visits in order to educate the children of Nepal on sustainability.

Any donation, however small, is greatly appreciated and will enable Govinda and family to cover building materials, water storage tanks/catchment, solar, biogas, toilet/bathroom facilities, labor costs, livestock and shelter, and transportation costs!!

Your donations will go DIRECTLY to Govinda and his family. I plan to return in the FALL of 2017 to give them this aid and help with the rebuilding.

If you are a supporter of my art please consider donating!
PLEASE EMAIL ME for the fundraiser link.

I'm a forest nymph,
I dance with a boundless primal energy.
I love contorting my body into different shapes, stretching, elongating, always in flux.

I want to create things with rawness, emotion, magic.
I want moments that awaken, moments that illuminate.
That help coalesce.
This is what I seek.

I do this to connect, reflect, and for self-discovery.
To make sense of the world, and to understand.
To help you do the same.

"Kyotocat is one of the most inspiring people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and even better becoming friends with. We only met less then a year ago, however I consider her a sister I have never had. I have worked with her as a model / photographer, and she gives every shoot her all. She is such a creative unique free spirited being, and SUCH an inspiration to CREATE ART. She always has ideas, and comes up with such amazing unique poses. You will not be able to keep up, and you will be left with HUNDREDS of amazing images to choose from. I do not think she gives herself enough credit as to how extremely talented and versatile she is. She does not disappoint, and is certainly worth investing into having her model for you! I am SO lucky to be able to travel with her and shoot whenever we want, its been one of the most creatively satisfying experiences of my life! She will awaken your creative life!" Read less
