About me
Update: I am no longer working under the name GB Photographics. As my primary projects are now heading in a different themed and stylised direction, (details below).
Hi my name is Graham, welcome to my profile/folio page. My work won't necessarily appeal to all as I am now firmly following a specialised theme. I find myself heavily influenced by conceptual artists Luis Royo and Boris Vellejo and renowned 'alternative' photographers such as Christophe Mourthe, Trevor Baker, Gilles Berquet, Bob Carlos Clarke, China Hamilton.
I have been successful in commercial work, both editorial and promotional and I've also tutored in photography. I like to think of myself as a seasoned pro of the 'old school', (though my work is anything but!), working with traditional and modern methods in studio/location/outdoor film and digital photography. I prefer to work in black and white, (more of a personal preference), mono images offer a stylised, artistic medium for surreal and contemporary images although I am just as comfortable and competent when working in colour.
I am always happy to work with new faces/beginners on a professional level.
My policy on chaperones is simple, they are welcome providing they do not invade my workspace and appreciate what I have to do to achieve the very best image production result that is necessary.
I am now working on several personal projects to build a stronger collection of images that feature the following themes: Alternative/Gothic/Fantasy/Fetish/Retro/Punk/Metal/Emo/Burlesque.
I will however, still work in the areas of general fashion & glamour. I am also undertaking various commissions as they arise.
Please note that I am currently working out of a community facility, (as I have been for some time now).
