How Do I work?
Glad you asked, I work with a light-hearted, but professional attitude, just ask anyone I've worked with. I have a quirky sense of humor, and put-my-foot-in-it rather a lot, but that usually goes down well .. not the foot, my sense of humor.
On a Shoot
I like to experiment a lot with ideas as a shoot progresses, though will only work to the agreed levels with a model with no pressure on the shoot to go further, I understand the word 'no'. Anyone coming to a shoot will be welcome to bring a chaperone if they wish, or call a friend/family member at any time to say you're still alive.
Open to ideas and opportunities in all genres, though I generally operate in the glamour/nude/erotic areas - at the moment I seem to be coming away from the cliche-side of fetish photography and leaning more towards fashion in that respect. I also work normally or anonymously with erotic work as and when a model wants such shots, however i'm not into shooting pornography for my own portfolio so am not after such work on a tfcd basis.
I often travel to the model, and of late often also shoot in the models own home, which not only sets a challenge, gives variety and also creates an almost voyeuristic atmosphere to shots that I like, but it can often make the model feel more at ease. Otherwise, an on-location shoot can be arranged. Note that I've recently moved house (and had to downsize), so at present don't have my home-studio, something I hope to rectify sometime this year, how I don't know.
I usually work TFCD, especially if the model also wants the photos for their own portfolio, however with such shoots I expect either do the travelling myself at my own cost, or pay for the models own expenses (amount being agreed beforehand).
Well, self-taught in the realms of photography, but I hope that means I have learnt to develop a style of my own and that i'm comfortable operating within. Someone that used to worry about others' opinions of me, I have indeed changed, and I find that being myself, being honest and pretty straight-forward seems to have got me further in life, so long may that continue. I drink whisky (but only single-malt and only when I can afford it - no chance of me becoming an alcoholic), like many different types of music, have a very dark sense of humor and i'm also one of a two-man team that create SomethingDark webMagazine - www.somethingdark.eu
Anything else, just ask.
