I like working with any type of model that is open-minded, and okay with unstructured shoots that leave the door open to the spontaneous creation of art. I love to people watch. This is undoubtedly shown in my photos, where I often-times plan shoots around what is available on the street, with a model that fits the scene. I come from a film background and believe in the power of Mise-en-scene to build the picture, the model being an important, but not overtly pronounced element to a shot. This is of course not always the case, but it certainly a preference I hold most of the time.
You do not need to be a perfectly chiseled, precisely manufactured human specimen to create something beautiful. I find that often times those creations are even better if there is an imperfect, organic quality to them.
