About MeA little about me. Let me start from the beginning; very very beginning. Before I was even born . I'm an attempted abortion survivor, born in war in the first decade of the revolution. A non muslim who had to convert to Islam to make sure she will have her head on her body and and to escape the systematic abuse and discrimination by the law of the land and could not revert to Zoroastrianism because the penalty for renouncing Islam was death. As they say, Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what your going to get; but unfortunately; most of my loved ones, either had a sweet tooth or their chocolates were taken away by force . What I saw in reality as a child, still hunts me in my dreams. A lot of blood, a lot o dead bodies, and a lot of hung heads. Sleepless nights of waiting, to see if someone from the family has already been executed or just imprisoned and will be sent back home after he had his enough share of torture and humilation. Nights of moving from house to house and hiding in abandoned buildings, hoping to survive be in one piece one more day.
I was born into an elite family of talented people and artists. My father was a professional photographer, musician, computer system analysts and a programmer; and my mother is an educated strong sucsessfull business woman who helped me become who I am now. We had a good happy life there up to the point when we had to leave. Wind was not blowing on our sides and we left our homeland and I only saw my father once after. I had a hard time adopting with the new country and was constantly getting discriminated against and got treated very unfairly because of my ethnicity when I was still at school.
After graduating from high school, at UBC, I majored in applied sciences and practiced sculpture, printing and painting as my electives. Moreover, couple of years late, I moved to America to get my commercial pilot license; meanwhile, I modelled in fort Lauderdale, and expanded my knowledge on chemistry and neurology, there is ever room to gain knowledge. .
Now that I am back to Vancouver, started working with Vince Hemingson who is an amazing photographer and it's always a pleasure to be one of his models.
though I come from that part of the world that a lot of people don't like and they think of us as camel riders who put their women under veils, as you can see, I am not shy infront of camera and love being a model.
I always enjoy working for different photographers and working on different genres. Every photoshoot is a fun experience of advancing my modeling career, and learning more about how different every photographer is and how those differences make every photoshoot more interesting. Every photo has a remarkable memory behind it, good or bad, without it, the memories will fades out as the years pass by. I am an artist who lives in pictures, and will work with photographers who can capture photos that form a parade of authentic emotions. Highs and lows, good times and sad.
I did not have the easy life, but I never complaint. I struggled and made things work. i survived war, I survived abortion, but it was the ups and downs who made me the fighter I am now.
