I am based in central Essex (30 miles outside London), and I have a 20-year-old daughter.
I use Canon professional-quality equipment, and do all my own editing.
The main UK car and motorcycle shows are held at the Birmingham NEC, and I have photographed the models there since 2009.
I have researched and studied everything I can about photographic lighting, and my objective is to achieve the highest possible quality in terms of lighting and colour.
My photos are typically 640 or 800 pixels (longest side) for internet viewing, and this small sizing has steered my images to ones where the subject ‘fills the frame’.
Although, I have thoroughly enjoyed photographing at shows, my goal now is more varied, creative, softer-lit work with individual models.
I am also interested in producing larger, printed-images with more scope for composition.
Example emails regarding my photos at NEC:
Many thanks for sending me the photos through… Again, they are very good - you seem to get the lighting right, whereas a lot of photographers have a funny blue or red tinge to them. Yours look very natural and true colours.
Thanks a lot, Rachel
