About Me

Francesco Morandin was born in Mirano (Venice) on 12th November 1969. He attended the artistic school in Venice, where he first got interested in photography by visiting the camera obscura of one of his friends’. From 1990 to 1992 he took part to the courses hold by the “Centro Formazione Professionale” in Milan. He began an apprenticeship by the photo agency “Grazia Neri”; then, for more or less one year he worked at the “Camera Press” in London. For 2 years he collaborated with local magazines, till 1995, when, thanks to an exhibition of his portraits, he caught the interest of the photo editor for Benetton and personal assistant of Oliviero Toscani. He has then begun working at the multimedia research centre of Benetton, Fabrica, since nowadays, where he realizes all the fashion shootings of the company.
