I was drawn to photography, since the days of rangefinders and Ektachrome film, but never had the resources nor financial means to take it seriously. The digital imaging has introduced a whole new dimension of sophistication, thereby I had to re-invent myself to grasp it again.

The CSC mirrorless cameras with robust sensors and sharp interchangeable prime lenses has once again attracted my attention, just like the rangefinders of yesterday; it got small foot print, it is svelte and it can be taken almost anyplace without been noticeable. I am more comfortable with innocuous style of shooting, i.e. capturing spontaneous images rather than studio setting. My favorite lens gear has always been a compact prime with fixed focus rather than a zoom. I am a SOOC freak (Straight Out Of Camera), I am a firm believer of the nostalgic artistry of yesterday; i.e. a perfect image is to be produced straight out of the camera, not enhanced afterward through digital manipulations.

What interest me the most is images of people, its moods as expressed either through facial or body language in everyday situations. I like people of different culture with diverse ethnicity and all walks of society.

I am, at best a serious amateur. My goal in joining Model Mayhem is to improve my artistic skills of portraiture. To work with and to understand each model's inspirational personality will lead to magical poses.
