About Me

I have over 10 years photographic experience within the Heritage sector mostly working with artists, makers, museums and art galleries.

For the past three years I have been working with the Victorian wet plate collodion process.

This is totally different to a digital shoot, it takes a lot of time and patience to produce sometimes only a handful of plates. Yes plates. These are one off, individual items. They have to be seen in hand to be truly appreciated.
More info can be found on my website and blog.

I'm now looking for models to work with in this wet plate process. I will also be starting to shoot much larger plates, known as "Mammoth" plates 16.5 x 18.5 inches, as part of a project starting early 2014.

Due to the nature of this process, exposures can be from a second to as much as a minute depending on the lighting etc. The sitter has to remain perfectly still for this time for a perfectly focused plate. A challenge indeed.

So, if you'd like to come and sit for a few plates and add something a little more unusual to your portfolio, just drop me a line.

Cheers and thanks for stopping by,

Tony

Oh I also shoot digital!
