My name is heather and I take great delight in having my picture taken, but isn’t that why we are all here?
I am in love with the idea of being able to play dress up and pretend, even if it is only long enough to get that perfect shot. Being a bit of a geek, I greatly admire cosplayers and hope to achieve accuracy with this style. But I also really love fashion, vintage, pinup and even fetish looks too. The genres I marked are ones that I might not have necessarily done, but that I have interest in trying. My style ranges from elegant to off the wall and I will try anything once (the good things twice). I even had an 8 inch Mohawk for a while. I choose to ignore categories and do what I find to be interesting.
My body is not perfect. This is a fact I am proud of. I have many scars, the most prominent being about six inches long and 1/4 inch wide on my abdomen. It came from multiple surgeries related to cancer treatment 7 years ago. For me it is a badge I wear with pride and tells the story of my survival. If you don't want it to mar photos we can work around it with clothing and fabric. What I really detest is having my overall body photoshopped to the point that it is no longer mine. If you want a particular body type, hire a model with that body type.
Another thing that might make my body unusual is that I have a well groomed bush. It is not long and wild, nor does it show past my undergarments. No, I will not shave it just for a shoot, but if you ask nicely I will cross my legs so it is not visible.
I have a deep fondness for travel and if things can be worked out in advance, I would love to have the opportunity to make a trip for a shoot. Please understand though, that because this is not my job, it may be a little more difficult to arrange long distance travel for shoots that are for trade. My goal is to eventually be able to travel anywhere.
In my spare time I love to read books of all kinds (including comics), watch t.v., and play some rpgs from time to time. I also enjoy volunteering at both the local soup kitchen two days a week and walking dogs for the local animal shelter. I like to try my hand at creating beautiful things, but I am rather indecisive. I work best when I have a particular end goal in mind.
What do I hope to get from this… well, the most honest answer is that I hope to connect with photographers, make-up artists, designers, etc. who want to work with me. The true end goal is to have fun doing something that I love, living the dream. Networking is always great and I am happy to meet new people with common interests. I am pretty easy going, so if you find yourself interested, drop me a line.
