About me
Thank you for your interest in reviewing my profile.   I will consider test shoots with aspiring models, particularly those who are comfortable with doing fine-art work.  Please send me an email if you are interested in booking a shoot.

I am a professional photographer in Charlotte, NC specializing in glamor and fine-art though I do some catalog, fashion, commercial and product work as well.  I am available for portfolio updates and enhancement, some on a TFCD basis if it is something that will also work for my stock.  If in doubt, please ask.  Note that I have plenty of standard catalog/fashion images and for TFCD am mostly interested in fine-art or at least a mix that includes fine-art.  I have ongoing commercial assignments in the area and also teach workshops periodically.

Please do not contact me if you are not serious about your work and mine.  If you book a shoot, show up on time and prepared to work.

I have a large commercial studio near downtown Charlotte and just minutes from I-85 and I-77.  My studio is well appointed with a large kitchen/dining area, private dressing room with makeup counter and mirrors as well as a large wardrobe available.  I have hundreds of items in my wardrobe including: tops and pants; dresses; clubwear; bikinis; corsets; lingerie; and costumes.  I have hundreds of items left over from previous shoots, catalog shots, etc. plus lots of experience.  I can help update almost any portfolio.

Models:  If you need to cancel a shoot with me, please give me as much notice as possible.  I know things come up--that happens to all of us.  That's cool.  Just let me know...ahead of time.  Telling me 3 days later that you caught the flu the day your grandma died, you had an accident on the way to her funeral and were robbed while you were in the hospital sounds exactly as ridiculous as you think it does.  If you change your mind, just tell me.  If you decide that going out the night before and getting drunk is more important, just give me a heads up.  When you just no-show for a shoot you say a lot about your credibility and your lack of professionalism.

Forgive this small rant.  But in the last several years I've found a trend that is very tiring.  You might think your 4 weeks or 6 months (or whatever) of experience makes you more of an industry expert than me.  I've been doing this for over 20 years.  Please think about it before you lecture me on how the industry works.

Models are welcome to bring a friend with them to the shoot.  I have a comfortable reception area a few feet from the set that your friend can use to relax, read, etc.  They will be close by but out of direct line of site so as not to distract from the model or photographer's concentration.  If your friend/companion is a model themselves and will be shooting, they are welcome to be on the set/in the dressing room, etc.

Please note: if you're not interested in a test shoot, please don't expect me to refer  you to an art director or client for a booking.  I do not refer models with whom I have not worked directly.  I take referrals very seriously.

Many, many thanks to the models I have worked with over the years.  Most have been true professionals and I appreciate their efforts and work.

Photographers:  I've had some no-show and last-second cancellations from models in our area.  Please feel free to contact me for references if you're shooting someone I've got posted here or on OMP.  Also feel free to contact me in regard to specific models if you're curious about reliability, no-shows, etc.
